EXHIBITOR SPOLIGHT: Sallaum Lines

Journalist Cyann Fielding speaks to David Van Ballaert, managing director at Sallaum Lines Belgium, about exhibiting at AntwerpXL in November 2023.

What’s new at Sallaum Lines?

‘At Sallaum Lines, we’ve recently ushered in a remarkable era of change. We unveiled a new logo and brand identity during an extraordinary event aboard the Blue Rhapsody on June 15, 2023. This event showcased our refreshed vision, strategic plan, and ambitious growth roadmap. The new logo represents our dynamic evolution, and our strategic plan focuses on customer-centricity, operational excellence, and embracing cutting-edge technologies,’ says Van Ballaert.

He adds: ‘We’re proud of our recent accomplishments, including securing contracts with major OEMs and expanding port calls. Looking ahead, we’re excited to double our fleet by 2027, adding eight new vessels. Our journey reflects resilience, ambition, and a dedication to positive industry change. The new logo and growth objectives mark the start of a promising chapter for Sallaum Lines.’

What will Sallaum Lines be exhibiting at AntwerpXL?

At AntwerpXL, Sallaum Lines will be showcasing its latest advancements in the shipping and logistics landscape. Its spotlight will be on the expansion of its fleet with eight new LNG dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs). These vessels are pivotal to driving growth, fostering sustainable shipping practices, and minimising environmental impact. Through this exhibition, Sallaum Lines aims to demonstrate its dedication to both technological innovation and reducing its carbon footprint.

What are you looking forward to at AntwerpXL?

Van Ballaert says: ‘AntwerpXL presents a unique platform for industry leaders to come together, exchange ideas, and explore the latest trends and technologies. We’re eagerly anticipating engaging with fellow professionals, partners, and stakeholders in meaningful discussions about the future of maritime transportation. This event provides an opportunity to foster collaborations and gain insights that will further elevate our industry contributions.’

Sallaum Lines are excited to connect with a diverse range of attendees at AntwerpXL. From fellow shipping companies to logistics experts, environmental advocates, and technology pioneers, Sallaum Lines are looking forward to networking with individuals who share its vision for a more sustainable and efficient shipping industry. Sallaum Lines is open to engaging with anyone interested in shaping the future of maritime transportation.

AntwerpXL is a must-visit exhibition for anyone involved in the maritime and logistics sectors. It offers a valuable opportunity to witness firsthand the latest innovations, solutions, and strategies that are driving the industry forward. ‘By attending, visitors can gain insights into sustainable practices, cutting-edge technologies, and new business models that will shape the future of global trade and shipping,’ comments Van Ballaert.

‘At Sallaum Lines, we’re committed to leading positive change in the maritime world. Our participation at AntwerpXL underscores our dedication to advancing the industry through innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. We invite everyone to join us at the exhibition to explore our initiatives, engage in meaningful conversations, and collectively pave the way for a more responsible and efficient shipping future,’ adds Van Ballaert.
