Blue Gate Logistics Park Antwerp

This is Blue Gate Logistics Park Antwerp. Once a polluted brownfield at the edge of the city, it has transformed into Belgium’s most sustainable logistics zone. The result of one of the most ambitious soil remediation efforts in the country, made possible through close collaboration between public and private partners. Since 2016, Montea has played a leading role in redeveloping the site, delivering state-of-the-art distribution centers that are BREEAM Excellent, energy-positive, and built with sustainable materials like Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). 🏆 The Blue Gate Antwerp Logistics Park project has earned national and international recognition: - Realty Award for Sustainable Building (Industrial & Logistics) - Munich Expo Real Impact Award 2024 - Multimodal access by bike, road and water ensures smart, sustainable urban delivery. Inside DHL Aviation’s Brussels Airport Hub

Montea's first Energy Hub in Willebroek

Montea is stepping up its commitment to sustainable logistics real estate with the launch of its first battery energy hub in Willebroek, part of one of the largest smart energy storage projects in Belgium. Across 13 logistics sites in the country, we are installing systems to store and optimize renewable energy – 6 of which are delivered by partner iwell. Minister-President Matthias Diependaele emphasized its strategic importance: "Flanders is a premier region for logistics, and securing that leadership requires strategic infrastructure investments. Montea exemplifies how businesses can take the lead in pioneering innovative and competitive solutions." Energy availability is a growing challenge in logistics. Montea’s energy hubs store solar energy and deploy it when needed, solving capacity shortages and peak demand mismatches. For DACHSER, this hub is a game-changer for zero-emission transport. Tom Verheyen, Country Manager Belgium at Dachser, shares: "Montea’s investment in battery storage makes it possible for Dachser Belgium to introduce our first electric trucks. Montea and Delhaize launch new home shop center in Vorst.

Delhaize strengthens its leadership in home food delivery. Delhaize's home delivery customers will enjoy even better service and greater product availability. The new building was developed by real estate investor Montea, who acquired the former Lipton site in 2008 as part of a long-term redevelopment program. Montea was with the Delhaize Home Shop Delivery Center shortlisted for the Climate Future Project Award. This nomination underscores the company's commitment to sustainable, future-ready logistics.

Montea develops ca. 50.000 m² for Lekkerland (NL)

Montea, a developer and investor in logistics real estate, and Lekkerland, part of the German REWE group, a provider of innovative retail solutions and logistics services, signed an agreement for the development of a new distribution center with a built-up area of approximately 50,000 m² at Logistiek Park A12 in Waddinxveen. A sustainable, state-of-the-art refrigerated and frozen distribution center with the highest possible GPR score is being developed for Lekkerland at this park. Among other things, the roof will be used for the installation of solar panels, which, together with the adjacent part of the development, completed in 2022, will create a roof area of 80,000 m², which will eventually generate enough electricity to meet the needs of 3,200 households.
