Canisius Select a Demag AC 100-4L All Terrain Crane for their Fleet

The people at crane service provider Canisius know they can rely on the quality of Demag cranes, which should come as no surprise given that an AC 40 City in the Beckum-based company’s fleet delivered consistent results for almost 20 years and that the current Demag AC 45 City that replaced it has proven to be just as flawless. “This is why we decided on the Demag AC 100‑4L when choosing a new crane in the 100-tonne class,” reports General Manager Christian Canisius, who picked up the crane in person together with his sister Ute Canisius-Schumacher and his father Clemens Canisius in Zweibrücken. The AC 100‑4L was handed over by Tadano Demag GmbH Sales Manager Helge Prüfer.

Clemens Canisius, who is a machine builder by training, was particularly pleased with the crane’s high manufacturing quality. “To be honest, I’m thrilled every time I get to visit Demag’s production floor. All the work performed here is done according to the highest quality standards – it’s something I notice right away,” he explains. He and his son point out the crane’s enormous power in the 100-tonne class and the main boom with a length of just under 60 meters as crucial engineering advantages of the AC 100‑4L. Other decisive factors for choosing this crane include the innovative and easy to use IC-1 Plus control system, as well as the company’s positive experience with Demag Service. “And on top of all that, the AC 100‑4L is an incredibly well-engineered model, which makes it absolutely reliable,” the two men agree.

Canisius will be using the new Demag crane primarily for industrial assembly work, such as during annual maintenance procedures at cement plants, and for loading work.
