Van der Vlist expands fleet

Van der Vlist has expanded its fleet of terminal equipment at its hub in Flevokust port, Lelystad, the Netherlands, to include two reachstackers that are specifically designed for lifting wind turbine components.

The reachstackers can lift up to 85 tonnes each.

Van der Vlist supports multimodal solutions, such as barge and seagoing vessel chartering as well as road transport, for some large wind energy projects in the Flevopolder. The company said it has a complete fleet of specific trailers for all wind turbine parts.

Its terminal in Moerdijk also serves as a hub for storage and transhipment of tower components and blades.
