SEARCH FOR SURVIVORS FROM SEACOR LIFTBOAT IN LOUISIANA

Rescuers are searching for the missing crew members of a liftboat/jack-up barge after it capsized in stormy weather off the US state of Louisiana yesterday afternoon. So far, six survivors have been rescued.

There were reportedly 18 people on board the SEACOR Power, and today the US Coast Guard said it had so far rescued six.

The self-propelled jack-up crane barge /liftboat capsized about eight miles (12km) from Port Fourchon on Tuesday afternoon.
