Topcats was recently asked by VolkerWessels Materieel & Onderhoud (VWMO) to help design a particulate filter for its lifting/shifting gantry machine. The particulate filter aims to reduce the machine’s emissions, which helps improve air quality. Our technicians got to work right away. Based on the machine’s specifications, they determined the right attachment particulate filter.
A lifting/shifting gantry machine is used on railways. It can lift the rails slightly, allowing railway workers to work underneath them. After the work is complete, the shifting section of the machine neatly returns the rails to their original position. VWMO has since installed the particulate filter itself on the lifting/shifting gantry.
