Watts in Store installs batteries at 8 locations for real estate developer VGP
Watts in Store will implement a large-scale battery project for real estate developer VGP. The company will install 9.3 megawatts of battery capacity at 8 different locations in Roosendaal and Oosterhout.
The energy storage systems will have a storage capacity of 19.75 megawatt hours.
Strategic Partnership
The battery project involves the installation of 53 modular C&I units and 2 battery containers, distributed across the 8 locations in North Brabant. These energy storage systems enable the properties to better manage peaks in energy production and consumption.
VGP has an integrated approach, from land acquisition to property management, and is known for its strategically located business parks. With this battery project, the real estate developer is taking an important step in making its portfolio more sustainable.
Growing battery market
The project’s completion strengthens Watts in Store’s position as a specialist in commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage systems in the Benelux. Earlier this year, the company completed its first major energy storage project in Belgium.
