New 6,200 m² Seveso high-threshold site strengthens our capacity for the storage of hazardous substances

From 1 July 2025, Hamann International Logistics will significantly expand its infrastructure with a new 6,200 m² high-threshold Seveso site, specially designed for the storage and handling of dangerous goods.

This strategic acquisition of an existing, fully optimized location – in accordance with our quality, environmental, and safety standards – represents a significant step in our continued growth as a reliable logistics partner.

The new site is directly connected to our existing 24,800 m² cross-dock warehouse, bringing our total logistics area in Wetteren to 31,000 m². This expansion allows us to respond even better to the complex and specialized needs of our customers.

Advanced infrastructure for maximum safety

The new facility features 12 loading and unloading docks and a distribution warehouse with three storage compartments. The permitted storage capacity is a total of 3,705 tons of hazardous materials. All storage areas are equipped with liquid-tight containment systems, connected to a 754 m³ underground containment cellar. For fire protection, the site is equipped with a 756 m³ sprinkler tank, as well as water and foam fire extinguishing systems and gas detection systems.
