Air charter services - Use our global air charter express network for your high priority cargo
Imagine having access to a virtual cargo airline that moves your high-value goods at short notice to anywhere in the world. DSV’s Air Charter Network does just that. Our air charter service provides tailor-made solutions and guarantees global reach and vast capacity – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The network is designed to not only manage aircraft cargo on specific routes, but also to structure and oversee processes on the ground. This ensures the best possible control, security and efficiency from door to door for your priority air charter. The Air Charter Network is ideal for handling special cargo such as pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, microchips, oversized oil and gas equipment, helicopters, cars, radioactive and explosive cargo as well as high-value goods. Don't forget to check out our newest air charter route "The Globetrotter" in our news section. The Globetrotter is the first multi-continental roundtrip product introduced as part of the Charter Network product. In only seven days it connects Europe, Asia and North and South America while at the same time being strategically linked to other DSV Charter Network routes. Inventory scan - Stock optimisation because less stock means more profit
Strike the right balance between working capital, operating costs and optimal service level. DSV offers key customers a periodical assessment and benchmark of inventory and order management KPIs, with three objectives: 1. Increase stock rotation Planning that is based on incorrect data can lead to inventory levels being unnecessarily high. By optimising your inventory data, a DSV inventory scan gives an increase in stock rotation by 30% on average, with a corresponding reduction in working capital. 2. Improve inbound cost efficiency The DSV principle of order management by exception instead of firefighting, combined with our inventory scenario analysis, cuts your inbound rush orders by half. That represents a 50% reduction in express transport costs and will enable your team to focus on the overall order management process rather than on individual cases. 3. Optimise stock availability Nothing is as bad as losing a customer due to poor service, such as through late or incomplete orders. DSV’s approach to inventory management includes capturing the desired service levels into the re-order and stock levels per stock keeping unit (SKU). The inventory scan typically results in a 25% reduction of ‘Out of Stock’ incidents.
Warehousing - Get more space or outsource all your warehousing
We can offer you the warehousing flexibility you need. And we're constantly building more warehouse facilities so your business can grow. Warehouse storage and handling DSV ensures that your goods are optimally stored in the freight warehouse and handled in the most cost-efficient way. We find the right location for storing and handling your goods - wherever in the world that may be – and also provide industry-specific storage solutions. We offer multiple storage possibilities, such as condition-controlled storage, bulk storage, shelf and bin locations, as well as the conventional rack storage in a wide variety of location sizes. Once stock has arrived, we are continuously cycle counting to ensure that stock levels in your system are the same as the physical stocks in the warehouse. Inbound logistics We manage the inbound logistics solutions for your goods into our warehouses, as well as inspection and registration of the incoming products. Our inbound logistic services include unloading and palletising, checking the goods for defects and damage, registration of serial numbers or items and putting away your products to the assigned racking or bin locations. Outbound logistics You can send us your daily sales orders in an agreed format and timing. We manage outbound logistic picking principles, like 'First Expired, First Out' (FEFO), ‘Last In First Out’ (LIFO) and 'First In, First Out' (FIFO). Before dispatch we check the accuracy of each sales order, packing list and parcel label and subsequently load the orders into trucks or delivery vans. In addition to dedicated warehouse operators, we have a flexible pool of employees who can handle seasonal peaks. Value-added services We do more than just store your stock for you.
