Our roller conveyors have a long service life thanks to the lineshaft system. With this system, a central shaft drives each roll separately with the help of strings. The strings are attached to the central axis by means of an extra wheel. When a bin comes to a standstill, the roll will also be able to stand still. The roll then offers resistance so that the string and the extra roll will stand still. The central axis can still continue to rotate.
Thanks to this type of drive, some of these systems have been running without maintenance for 18 years.
With other systems, the strings hang directly on the central shaft, which keeps the rollers turning even when there is extra resistance due to a stationary container. This will cause the strings to wear out faster.
