In 2024, Topa once again took major steps towards further reducing its Company Carbon Footprint (CCF). Compared to 2021, emissions decreased by 47%, well above the 30% target for this year. In addition to the annual CCF CO₂ emissions calculation by ClimatePartner, Topa was also audited by EcoVadis this year. You can read the results of both audits in this article.

We strive for less
“We strive for less” is our promise to customers, suppliers, and employees. Less waste, reduced material use, and lower CO₂ emissions, both in our products and in our own operations. We focus not only on the amount of recycled materials but also on reusability and degradability. Internally, we are taking measures to save energy, further enhance the sustainability of our fleet, and reduce waste flows.

CCF 2024 Results
In 2024, our total CO₂ emissions decreased further to 880.72 tons, compared to 1,021 tons in 2023. This represents another significant step forward. Since 2021, when emissions stood at 1,660 tons, we have achieved a total reduction of 47%. This result is well above our own target of -30% and also above the Dutch targets of the Paris Climate Agreement, which prescribe an 11% reduction, and the tightened national reduction targets of 55% (ambition 60%) by 2030.

After a slight increase in 2023, waste emissions have now decreased again: from 211 tons to 195 tons of CO₂.

The reduction is due to concrete improvements in:

Heating: from 373 tons to 318 tons of CO₂
Vehicle fleet: from 137 tons to 108 tons of CO₂
Electricity: 0 tons of CO₂ (fully green energy)
Waste: 195 tons of CO₂
