Kalmar to Deliver 26 Hybrid Straddle Carriers to GMP at Le Havre Port

Kalmar has announced a major deal to supply 26 Hybrid Straddle Carriers to Générale de Manutention Portuaire (GMP) at the Port of Le Havre, France. The order, which also includes the MyKalmar Insight performance management tool, was booked in Kalmar’s Q3 2024 order intake. The straddle carriers are scheduled for delivery in Q2 and Q3 2025.

GMP has been using Kalmar straddle carriers since the early 1990s and has now ordered a total of 54 hybrid units since 2020. These eco-efficient machines are playing a key role in helping GMP reduce its carbon footprint, aligning with the company’s sustainability goals, while also significantly reducing noise pollution.
