What does sustainability mean to you and how important is it?
To me, sustainability means having the ability to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is about balancing economic, social and environmental considerations in a way that promotes long term wellbeing for all.
What was your first week like?
My first week at work happened to be at StocExpo in Rotterdam, which was so much fun, from meeting new colleagues and networking with industry professionals; learning about the company’s products and services; gaining insights into the storage tank industry and long hours. The shows will clearly be hard work going forwards but a very rewarding experience indeed. I was especially proud to be representing Easyfairs and its values which completely resonate with me.
What are you most looking forward to whilst working with us?
Being part of a team that helps connect people and businesses and facilitates knowledge exchange and innovation is so rewarding and fulfilling to me, combined with running an event is super exciting! Especially when you are new to the industry – AntwerpXL 2023 here we go 🚀
What do you do in your free time?
Currently my free time is spent trying to learn more about where I live, as I’ve moved over from Manchester to London a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I am in good hands as many people at work also live locally and have given me tips on best places to eat!
What is a fun fact about yourself?
Richard Branson once invited me to his private island!
