The Best Overall Stand award goes to MSC at AntwerpXL 2022!

MSC is a leader in shipping and logistics, whereby their 675 local offices in more than 155 countries have allowed them to facilitate international trade between the world’s major economies, and among emerging economies across the world.

‘We attract a lot of people, and we are one of the most welcoming stands in the fair. And it is a very nice-looking stand as well,’ says Marc Beerlandt, CEO at MSC Belgium.

‘It is always nice to win an award – I am not used to it – but it is a very good feeling, especially for my colleagues that have been working very hard in establishing [this stand]. Lindsay and Kim have worked on this stand and are already working on the stand for next year, so this is a reward for them which is well deserved,’ he adds.

The Overall Best Stand award recognises the dedication from MSC ‘to stand out in the exhibition,’ says Rikki Bhachu, Head of Marketing for AntwerpXL. ‘The stand is an integral part of this and gives a unique identity to a company. This award rewards MSC for their work to pull in and attract a crowd,’ he adds.

MSC’s impressive stand took centre stage at AntwerpXL, offering food, drinks, a VR experience, and project cargo expertise. Their stand offered a great opportunity for visitors to meet the MSC project cargo logistics team to discuss tailor-made end-to-end solutions for oversized cargo.

In addition to presenting their stand, MSC Global Project Manager, Ben Collins and MSC Belgium’s Project Cargo Manager, Axel van Pul, were a part of the ‘Managing Continuity in Project Cargo and Breakbulk’ session in the AntwerpXL Main Deck conference, where they discussed the current challenges affecting the industry, the impact of the energy transition on project cargo, digitalisation in the shipping industry and the position of container carriers in the project cargo segment.
