New representative for Port of Rotterdam in Austria and Switzerland

Franz Zauner worked for the Port of Rotterdam Authority for 17 years and for over 30 years for Rotterdam-based logistics companies in the field of short sea, deep sea, inland shipping and rail transport, including 25 years as an independent entrepreneur. Zauner played an important role in setting up numerous rail connections between Rotterdam and Austria, such as the Hybrid Zug (a combination of ore and containers) and most recently the shuttle between Wolfurt and Rotterdam. Zauner has been the linking pin between the countries’ logistics sectors. The annual ‘Port of Rotterdam Trophy’ organised by Franz in Traben has become an event that attracts the entire Austrian logistics community.
